  1. Noumenal Power, Reasons, and Justification: A Critique of Forst.Sameer Bajaj & Enzo Rossi - 2019 - In Ester Herlin-Karnell & Matthias Klatt, Constitutionalism Justified: Rainer Forst in Discourse. New York: Oxford University Press, Usa.
In this essay we criticise Rainer Forst's attempt to draw a connection between power and justification, and thus ground his normative theory of a right to justification. Forst draws this connection primarily conceptually, though we will also consider whether a normative connection may be drawn within his framework. Forst's key insight is that if we understand power as operating by furnishing those subjected to it with reasons, then we create a space for the normative contestation of any exercise of power. (...)

  2. Bitcoin Price Prediction.Desai Nms - 2024 - International Journal of Engineering Innovations and Management Strategies 1 (1):1-13.
Bitcoin, as a decentralized digital currency, has undergone extreme price fluctuations over the years. Predicting its future price presents a significant challenge due to its volatile nature and susceptibility to various external factors, including market sentiment, regulations, and technological developments. This research aims to build an advanced forecasting model to predict Bitcoin’s price movements accurately. We leverage historical price data and apply cutting-edge machine learning techniques, including Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks and Gradient Boosting Machines (GBM). By comparing these methods (...)

  3. Toward an Analytic Theology of Liberation.Sameer Yadav - 2020 - In Michael C. Rea & Michelle Panchuk, Voices from the Edge: Centering Marginalized Voices in Analytic Theology. Oxford University Press. pp. 47-74.
The open secret of analytic philosophy of religion since its 20th century revival has been that it is for the most part a revival of philosophical theology, and particularly Christian philosophical theology. More recently, Christian analytic philosophers and theologians sympathetic to them have transformed this open secret into a research program by explicitly thematizing the use of analytic philosophical tools for the particular work of Christian theology. Dubbing this work as “analytic theology” (AT) Oliver Crisp and Michael Rea have succeeded (...)

  4. The Hidden Love of God and the Imaging Defense.Sameer Yadav - 2019 - In James M. Arcadi, Oliver D. Crisp & Jordan Wessling, Love, Divine and Human: Contemporary Essays in Systematic and Philosophical Theology. T&T Clark.
    J. L. Schellenberg has recently argued that there is a logical incompatibility between God’s being perfectly loving and there being non-resistant nonbelievers in the proposition that God exists. In this paper I highlight the parallel between this claim and the claim made by the logical problem of evil. Following Plantinga’s strategy in undermining the logical problem of evil, I argue that all that is needed to undermine the alleged incompatibility of divine love with non-resistant non-belief is a counterexample showing how (...)

  5. Religious Racial Formation Theory and its Metaphysics.Sameer Yadav - 2019 - In Blake Hereth & Kevin Timpe, The Lost Sheep in Philosophy of Religion: New Perspectives on Disability, Gender, Race, and Animals. New York: Routledge. pp. 365-390.
While the intersection between race and religion has been an important site for research for the sociology of religion and religious studies (in its descriptive dimensions) as well as theology (in its religiously normative dimensions), neither of these disciplines has incorporated recent work in the analytic philosophy of race. Analytic philosophy of race, for its part, has largely neglected the race/religion intersection, while analytic theologians by and large ignore the theological significance of race altogether. In this paper I aim to (...)

  7. Using the Existing CCTV Network for Crowd Management, Crime Prevention, and Work Monitoring using AIML.N. M. S. Desai - 2024 - International Journal of Engineering Innovations and Management Strategies 1 (1):1-12.
Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems are essential in modern security setups because they provide continuous surveillance, acting as both a deterrent and a critical tool for monitoring and evidence collection. Unlike human guards who can be limited by fatigue and blind spots, CCTV cameras offer consistent, 24/7 coverage of key areas. They fill gaps in the current security system by enabling real-time monitoring and recording incidents for later review, ensuring that potential security breaches are detected and addressed more effectively. This enhances (...)

Intelligent Chatbot for Substation Maintenance.Desai Neela Megha Shyam - 2024 - International Journal of Engineering Innovations and Management Strategies 1 (1):1-12.
Substation maintenance is a critical aspect of ensuring the reliable operation and longevity of electrical power systems. This process involves a range of activities aimed at preserving the functionality and safety of substations, which serve as pivotal nodes in the electrical grid. Effective maintenance strategies encompass routine inspections, preventive measures, and corrective actions to address equipment wear and potential failures. Advances in technology have introduced innovative tools and techniques for substation maintenance, including automated diagnostic systems, predictive analytics, and real-time monitoring (...)

Public trust in research and its output is essential for a healthy modern society. Although the research enterprise is self- correcting, this self-regulation occasionally needs help. Over the years, research institutions, professional societies, and governments have established several protocols, codes of conduct, norms, and principles to enhance that trust in research institutions, funders, producers, publishers, and products.

Omenn, Brian Athey & Barry Smith - 2022 - Journal of Biomedical Semantics 13 (1):25.
The current COVID-19 pandemic and the previous SARS/MERS outbreaks of 2003 and 2012 have resulted in a series of major global public health crises. We argue that in the interest of developing effective and safe vaccines and drugs and to better understand coronaviruses and associated disease mechenisms it is necessary to integrate the large and exponentially growing body of heterogeneous coronavirus data. Ontologies play an important role in standard-based knowledge and data representation, integration, sharing, and analysis. Accordingly, we initiated the (...)

Can new technology enhance purpose-driven, democratic dialogue in groups, governments, and societies? Online Deliberation: Design, Research, and Practice is the first book that attempts to sample the full range of work on online deliberation, forging new connections between academic research, technology designers, and practitioners. Since some of the most exciting innovations have occurred outside of traditional institutions, and those involved have often worked in relative isolation from each other, work in this growing field has often failed to reflect the full (...)

  13. Is This Humanity?Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi - 1926 - The Collected Works of Mahatma Gandhi. Translated by Mahadev Desai.
This is a series of eight Gujarati articles published in Navajivan. They were then translated by Mahadev Desai into English and published in Young India. They provide a statement of Gandhi's "progressive ahimsaist" animal ethics, which retains ahimsa as a guiding ideal while recognizing circumstances in which violence is required by a duty of care to oneself or to others.
