    This paper studies the Lockean thesis from the perspective of contemporary epistemic logic. The Lockean thesis states that belief can be defined as ‘sufficiently high degree of belief’.     Epistemic accounts of scientific collaboration usually assume that, one way or another, two heads really are more than twice better than one. We show that this hypothesis is unduly strong. We present a deliberately crude model with unfavorable hypotheses.     Cet article est le résumé d’un cours donné à l’université de Trèves en 2010. Son but est de montrer que si la philosophie du comme si de Vaihinger a longtemps été négligée, c’est parce qu’elle a été prise pour une variante peu originale du pragmatisme de type jamesien. En réalité, Vaihinger, partant d’une lecture originale de la critique kantienne, inaugure le fictionalisme, fort différent du pragmatisme, et très vivant aujourd’hui comme courant de la philosophie analytique.
