- Cunoașterea tacită în activitatea de informații.Nicolae Sfetcu - manuscriptOpinia lui Michael Polanyi despre știință poate contribui la înțelegerea procesului și a "produsului" analizei informațiilor. Argumentele lui Michael Polanyi privind activitățile oamenilor de știință sunt transferabile în domeniul analizei informațiilor, oferind o perspectivă nuanțată pentru perceperea provocărilor epistemologice și a problemelor cu care se confruntă analiștii. Conceptele lui Polanyi de "cunoaștere tacită" și "cunoaștere personală" contribuie la dezvoltarea unei înțelegeri mai eficiente din punct de vedere epistemologic a unor aspecte ale procesului și a produsului analizei informațiilor. - Prestige Bias: An Obstacle to a Just Academic Philosophy.Helen De Cruz - 2018 - Ergo: An Open Access Journal of Philosophy 5.This paper examines the role of prestige bias in shaping academic philosophy, with a focus on its demographics. I argue that prestige bias exacerbates the structural underrepresentation of minorities in philosophy. It works as a filter against (among others) philosophers of color, women philosophers, and philosophers of low socio-economic status. As a consequence of prestige bias our judgments of philosophical quality become distorted. I outline ways in which prestige bias in philosophy can be mitigated.

- Objectivity and the Method of Arbitrary Functions.Chloé de Canson - 2022 - British Journal for the Philosophy of Science 73 (3):663-684.There is widespread excitement in the literature about the method of arbitrary functions: many take it to show that it is from the dynamics of systems that the objectivity of probabilities emerge. In this paper, I differentiate three ways in which a probability function might be objective, and I argue that the method of arbitrary functions cannot help us show that dynamics objectivise probabilities in any of these senses.
